Spectrums Unseen - A Solo Infrared exhibition by Connery McDowell on July 18th from 6pm- 9pm at Voyeur Bordello.
This exhibition in partnership with NOVA24 | Photo + Film Festival showcases hauntingly beautiful photography that explores the environmental crises reshaping our world—through the eerie, otherworldly lens of infrared photography. This immersive collection captures the hidden effects of ecological damage, revealing a landscape transformed not just physically, but emotionally.
Infrared light, invisible to the human eye, uncovers ghostly patterns of destruction: forests that appear vibrant but are dying, waters reflecting unnatural tones, and skies heavy with invisible pollutants. The images feel like echoes from a parallel world—familiar, yet unsettling. The result is a body of work that is both achingly beautiful and profoundly disturbing.
Join us for a compelling evening of art, nature, distraction, and conversation.
