Immersive Expansion | Experimentation in Photography @ Detroit Public Library

  • Detroit Public Library 5201 Woodward Avenue Detroit, Michigan, 48202 United States (map)

Everyone always asks us: What’s the theme of NOVA24 each year? Forever our answer: Experimentation and innovation in lens-based media. Experimentation and innovation can happen throughout the entire process, whether analogue or digital, from the idea, to the shoot, to the edit, to the print. No matter where the deviation, future thinking is the key.

Featuring artists Lo Braden, Megan Major, Amara Murphy, and Jamie Pittanos in artist talks and a panel discussion moderated by Ninety Seven Modern curator and Lenscratch editor Sierra R. Aguilar, Immersive Expansion | Experimentation in Photography highlights a multitude of ways that photography can expand beyond traditional sensibilities.

Join us on Saturday, June 27th at the Detroit Public Library | Main Branch in the Explorer’s Room (entrance available from outside of the library) for an afternoon of experimental conversation!

Artist Talks Begin: 2:00pm
Panel Discussion Begins: 3:30pm
