Completely free and open to the public, get ready for NOVA24’s Portfolio Throwdown—a chance to view over 20+ selected photographers and filmmakers’ portfolios across multiple subjects, styles, and mediums! Held on Saturday, July 25th from 5–8 PM in the Usher’s New Look space at Michigan Central, this event is about highlighting some of the best works in the photo + film community.

For our chosen exhibitors, this is an opportunity to show off your work to a new audience while receiving critical (and informal) feedback from curators, publishers, and industry leaders. Presenting artists will also have the chance to connect with their fellow showcasing peers! For our guests, this is a great way for you to be introduced to incredible members of the creative class.

Whether you're a creative yourself, a member of the industry, or just an art appreciator, the Portfolio Throwdown is the place to chat with, support, and celebrate local artists. Immerse yourself in the local Detroit photo + film scene—and who knows, you might discover your new favorite creator!
